He/she might be keeping an eye on patrons or facilities or could be checking for suspicious activity in all the areas covered by the installed surveillance cameras. CCTV Operators also monitor live footage and call for security or emergency services to attend to real and suspected breaches if necessary.
They might also be assigned the task of watching recorded footage after a security incident has occurred to gather further details on what happened.
