When it comes to CCTV installation, it is not just a matter of connecting the gadgets and having a view of what the cameras are capturing.  It is not another electrical engineer’s work. Neither is it a do-it-yourself stuff.

Much deeper understanding is required. One has to understand the basic function of each gadget involved in bringing to life the stream of video captured by the cameras – ranging from resolution of the cameras, image sensing, digital vs analogue cameras, signal strength, signal manipulation, video management softwares, configuration of the whole system, the effect of different lighting levels, recording, lenses (fixed/varifocal), IP surveillance,  etc .

Getting the appropriate training not only gives you the necessary skills but also makes your potential customers have faith in your work.

Enter the Rogue Installer

He has no founded idea about the system he is going to leave behind. He wants to cut cost but charge the price of the best system when an incident happens, you realize what you have just paid for… unusable CCTV system…. a system whose footage is so poor the forensic guy tells you that it cannot form part of the evidence as it has no ‘clue’!! so, what caused such a thing? was it the cameras, the DVR, the NVR, the orientation, the quality of HDD, the settings, etc… what exactly? Then you remember to call the CCTV guy who did it for you. He tells you that he left everything working well and starts giving you the probable culprits…” the power might have been unstable at the time, the DVR might have been dusty, you may have touched some part….”
