Practical Electric Fencing Specialist- Training Course

 Introduction

Living in a region where insecurity is a challenge, most residential owner find it indispensable to have electric fence installed on their perimeter walls

There are a few obvious advantages to electric fencing as a security barrier on your perimeter walls, as it acts as:APRIL 05 867

Skills on how to install such a perimeter security enhancement are offered at our institute to give young persons an expanded skill base which can earn them more when called upon to carry out suchlike jobs.

Compulsory class day 1:

Topics covered will be;

  • Electric fencing components;
  • Basic electronic and electrical theory;
  • Basic electronic and electrical components and equipment;
  • Basic electronic and electrical theory as applied to electric fencing;
  • Installation configuration, quotation, work plans and administration;
  • Completing the Electric Fencing System Certificate of Compliance.

Compulsory class day 2& 3:

Training will consist of extra topics not required for examination purposes, covering aspects of;

  • Earthing systems;
  • Overvoltage, electromagnetic interference and ground potential;
  • Metrology;
  • Communication systems;
  • Electric fence circuits, monitoring systems and electrical systems;
  • Review of assignments.

Examination and assessment day 2:

Written multiple choice question paper, covering;

  • Electric fencing components;APRIL 05 867
  • electronic and electrical theory;
  • electronic and electrical components and equipment;
  • Basic electronic and electrical theory as applied to electric fencing;
  • Installation configuration, quotation, work plans and administration.

  1. Practical exam 1 – covering aspects of finding faults on an electric fence.

Examination and assessment day 3:

A practical exam during which the learner has to erect a fully functional replica of an electric fence.

Should the learner be found to be competent, in; the two written exams; the two practical exams; and structured questions, the candidate will be declared competent as an ‘Electric Fence System Installer’.

Tools required for compulsory classes, practical projects, examinations and assessments:-

A learner shall be responsible for supplying his or her own hand tools and instruments for this purpose. A short list of which is as follows:-

  1. Side cutters and pliers – to be used on electric fencing wire.
  2. Small flat screw driver – to be used for tightening wires into connectors.
  3. Large flat screw driver – to be used for tightening self-tapping screws.
  4. Hack saw – for cutting conduit.
  5. Spring – for bending 20 mm conduit.
  6. Hand held multi-meter – capable of measuring resistance, voltage and current, with both DC and AC settings.
  7. Hand held volt meter – measuring electric fence high voltage.
  8. Hand held soldering iron, with solder.
  9. Safety boots and overalls.

This training will lift you from zero skills to a skilled and ready installer for all types of electric fences.It will take you through the fence design, material selection, costing, implementation, commissioning and maintenance.

Course to cover the following types of fences:

  • Free Standing Electric Fence

  • Top Wall Electric Fences

  • Custom Installed Electric Fences

Also to be covered would be:

  • Electric Fences Energizer types

  • Types Electric Fences wires

  • Electric Fences poles and their preparation

Basic Auto Electrics, Electronics & Diagnostics Skills

One has got to go an extra mile to become a potent automotive electrician. It is even more demanding when we consider the ever computer-dependent that more and more cars are churned into our roads everyday by factories that have invested heavily in computerized production. The electrical technician of today has no place in fixing most of the cars that are on the roads today.

 

This course consists of THREE units namely:

Unit 1: Introduction to Basic Electronics

Unit 2: Scantool Diagnostics & CAN Bus

Unit 3: Engine Component Diagnostics

Each of the units costs 25K (USD 250) and takes 1 Week to complete. The full course takes 3 weeks and costs USD 600. It is advisable to take up all the units if one is novice (beginner). Those already with qualifications and skills may skip the basics upon being preliminary examined for their experience.

CCTV Surveillance

Video surveillance is the most commonly used term in most of the world and the most accurate. Video is being used to surveill, that is to watch, the activities of an area. It does carry negative connotation for the general public because of the implication that people are being watched and privacy is being compromised.

 

  • Hotel Assassination - Events of a high profile assassination are traced exclusively using CCTV footage from hotel cameras. Although the skilled assassins were not apprehended, video reveals accomplices and some details of the murderer to further investigate.

 

  • Home caregiver abuses elderly- In August 2007 reports a mindful daughter installs a home surveillance system to monitor her father's caregiver. Upon reviewing the footage she's able to charge the caregiver on numerous events of abuse and misconduct. Unfortunately, the suspect did not show up for the court hearing.

 

  • Man Beaten in street - In 2009, 2 assaliants viciously beat a man nearly to death. The only 'witness' was the surveillance cameras that helped lead to the arrest of the suspects.

 

  • Missing Persons - A murdered couple in the UK by an unknown assailant are visually tracked utilizing footage from the victim's workplace, the city bus, public streets and a last account from a building camera. Context is given in hopes to bear witness or leading information as the case is not solved.

Course Details

This comprehensive automotive course is the ultimate key vehicle programming training. The 5-day course offers everything from basic to the advanced key programming equipment, together with actual vehicle scenarios to hone your skills and build your confidence in your abilities.

This course is suitable for those with little or no experience in the auto locksmith trade and offers a greater level of in depth training in both the mechanical and electronic parts of the market, culminating in gaining entry, making a key and programming a range of practice vehicles.

Our students will understand the workings of the lock and therefore how to open them when no keys are available. They will be taught how to cut and decode keys, learn how to use diagnostics & transponder programming and cloning machines, as well as how to carry out EEPROM programming.

 

The course is 90% practical to ensure you know how to put the theory into practice. Upon completion of the course you will have the ability to start practicing as a knowledgeable Auto locksmith and have an in-depth ability to work on the vehicles trained on. You will also receive a detailed instruction manual and training certificate.
